Sunday School is every Sunday, beginning with Opening @9:45am!

We welcome all children ages 2 through 4th grade to join our Children’s Sunday School based on their age or grade as of September 1st. Fifth grade through high school are part of our youth program.
We are dedicated to bringing God’s Word to our children in a way they can understand. Children have fun while learning how to live their lives according to God’s plan.
We are always looking for people to serve in our Sunday School Ministry. Teachers, helpers, and substitutes welcome. If you have gifts of teaching to share with children, we would like to have you join the Sunday School staff! Sign up to serve in realm by joining the group KidMin – Sunday School Staff. Or send a message to KidMin@messiahlutheran.com

The nursery of Messiah is here to provide loving and safe care for infants and small children while their parents are involved in worship, Bible study, or fellowship. It’s open to all children 3 years and younger. We have two separate rooms to care for infants and toddlers.
The toddler nursery is for steady walkers through age 3 and is located in room E125N. This room is in the education building down the back hallway, near the elevator.
When your child turns two, we offer a Sunday School class especially for this age. Your child is welcome to continue coming to the nursery through age 3, and transition to Sunday School when ready.
Our caregivers all have long experience in childcare, first aid and CPR training, and most importantly of all, a love for our little ones. If you need help finding the nursery, please ask a greeter, usher, or any of our members, and they’ll be happy to assist you.

Messiah’s Children’s Ministry established a program to recognize some of the many steps children take in their faith journey from the time they are still in their parents’ care to the time they finish high school. Four of these “footprints” are recognized within the Children’s Ministry years.
Each step in the series follows a similar format. All the families of children taking that step are invited to a fellowship breakfast at 9:00 am. Then during the Sunday School hour, we have special lessons planned that refresh parents in the promises made during their child’s baptism. The children have lessons tied to the day such as Baptism/Coming to God’s House, Family Devotion Time, Exploring the Bible, and Understanding the Impact of the Reformation.
During the 11:00 worship service, we recognize these families for their recommitment to bringing up their children according to God’s plan. Each recognition includes an item handed to the child from the parents such as a baptism shell candle, a devotion book, their new Bible, and their new Catechism.
Praise God for faithful parents/guardian and children ready to live and learn!

Kingdom Kids – Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
Come and make a joyful noise with Kingdom Kids! Kingdom Kids is a children’s choir for students in Kinder through 5th Grade. The choir meets once a week for 50 minutes to explore music and rhythm. Movement included, because it comes naturally!
Kingdom Kids share their songs during Wednesday night services and occasionally on Sunday mornings. Each year, they also participate in a special Praise Service. No prior singing experience is necessary, just a joyful heart. Come and enjoy praising God through song! 🎶
